What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
This role is all about keeping public sports fields and parks in top shape for sports and recreation. Expect jobs like prepping baseball and softball fields, maintaining turf, and ensuring park facilities are clean and ready for the public.
Duties include dragging and lining fields, mowing and landscaping, picking up litter, and using equipment like mowers, trucks, and small power tools. You’ll also assist with events, set up/tear down for tournaments, and do basic repairs.
Teamwork is an important part of the job. You’ll report to a supervisor or crew leader and work both independently and in teams. Work hours are scheduled at 40 hours per week, over a 5.5-month season.
Shifts vary and may include mornings, afternoons, and weekends depending on game and event schedules, offering some work flexibility for applicants.
